These are a few pieces utilizing animal sounds from birds and bears, as well as one piece that mimics the sounds of insects.

Feather 1 – 2008
Anthropomorphism – 8:55
A long chant of gradually increasing dissonant voices, all derived from a single bear cub cry.
Mating Rituals – 8:50
This seems to mimic the calls and responses of a summer night’s activity at a pond. In fact, the sound source is a single waveform with altered harmonics, which is then processed with a number of filters.
Birdsong – 23:22
A slowly climaxing noise piece based on a field recording of birds that are processed using granular synthesis techniques.
Ghost Birds – 7:04
